Tish RabeTish Rabe has written over 160 books for children including the popular "Cat in the Hat's Learning Library", a series of science books for early readers which have sold over 8 million copies. A television series "The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!" based on her books airs daily on PBS Kids. Ms. Rabe has also written books for Sesame Street, Disney, Curious George, My Little Pony, Blue's Clues, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and Huff and Puff, to name just a few. In 2009 she created her own character The I Believe Bunny and wrote a series of books which feature gentle, inspirational stories with beautiful water color paintings by award-winning illustrator Frank Endersby. The I Believe Bunny won the Mom's Choice Award for best picture book in 2010.
Ms. Rabe graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in Vocal Performance and has sung with the Muppets, was the narrator and singer for Disney Princess and has performed on many television jingles. She also traveled to China to produce "Big Bird in China" and was on the production teams for both Sesame Street and 3-2-1 Contact for Sesame Workshop. She is also a Emmy-nominated lyricist for over 200 songs for children for Sesame Street, Nickelodeon, Disney, the American Wildlife Federation and PBS. An accomplished public speaker, Ms. Rabe enjoys visiting schools across the U.S. to get students excited about reading and writing and she even SINGS! to the children she meets.
