Internship Program

The Corvisiero Literary Agency is a boutique agency that prides itself not only in the growth of their authors, but also in the learning and professional development and success of its team. We are happy to have an ongoing internship program for qualified individuals who are interested in learning about the Publishing Industry and in becoming a part of our family.

List your top 5 favorite books, the genres/ages you mostly enjoy reading, the 5 titles you most recently read, and any social media links. Be sure to tell us why you want to intern at an agency and what your goals are. • All internships are unpaid. Interns have the choice of working virtually or at our Red Bank, NJ location.
• Our Internship Program works as a two-part system: Interns engage in a one-month trial period and are then subject to a review process. Following a positive review, the internship will continue another five months, with a midterm review to assess the intern's progress. At the completion of the six months, the internship is subject to completion with recommendation, though we may discuss extending the internship period to another term or promoting the individual, depending on their readiness within the training process and our mentors' ability to take on an Apprentice.
• The Summer Program is a special three month program to help acclimate qualified applicants to the agency and learn about the industry while helping us read and evaluate submissions and assist with other everyday tasks. At the end of the summer, interns are given a commendation, and if appropriate, they are invited to a full term 6 month internship to continue their training. 

Public Relations and Marketing Internship

• Social Media involvement
• Providing IT Specialist with informative and engaging web content
• Collect and organize content for newsletters, website, and blog posts
• Helping to create and implement book promotions and events
• Communicating with readers, bloggers, vloggers, and other reviewers for book promotions
• Working with PR and Marketing Managers to properly market workshops to attendees
• Creating Graphics for social media, workshops, and book promotions
• Participating in team meetings, writer discussion groups and workshops
• Other duties as assigned

Literary Internship

• Participating in team meetings, writer discussion groups and workshops
• Updating/Creating shared documents
• Updating website as required
• Social Media involvement
• Tracking and Responding to Author queries
• Reading and evaluating Manuscripts for Agents
• Other duties as assigned

Literary Agents

We are always open to considering applications from experienced and skilled literary agents. If you have experience and publishing knowhow, feel free to contact us and convince us that you are a good fit. We have developed a wonderful hiring process to ensure that the applicants would flourish with us and that they are ready to immerse themselves into the work with energy and integrity. 

Requirements: 

• Experience in publishing, editing, agenting, or other relevant writing and book industry hands on know how.
• MFA or Publishing Degrees preferred. Other professional degrees and transferable skills and knowledge welcome.
• Technology comprehension of Word, Outlook, Google, Dropbox, PowerPoint and Airtables at a minimum 
• Strong research, organization and communication skills
• Growth mindset
• Provide your letter, resume, recommendations, sample of your ideal wishlist, social medial links, and if you've sold or written books, we'd like to know about your most notable projects

• We will ask you to take a personality test
• Orientation for our internal systems will be conducted upon hire
• Training sessions and coaching will be provided on an ongoing basis
