Rita Forsythe

Being the host of Books! Books! Books! a live streaming talk show broadcast from Honolulu, Rita has a diverse following of people in the fields of the arts and education. They are also a founding member of 808 Writers and belong to the American Association of University Women and Women’s Fiction Writers Association.

Rita has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Gonzaga University. Their doctoral dissertation is based on the principles of care for others, Jung’s shadow archetype, and feminist studies. Woven together these themes form the tapestry of their books and their life. They’ve traveled the world, lived in all four corners of the United States, and now reside with their husband on the island of Maui. When they're not watching Zags basketball or chasing wild chickens out of my vegetable patch, Rita writes fiction.
