Rafaela MouraRafaela is a devoted professional with more than two decades of extensive public policy and economic development experience. She discovered her passion for the environment as a child and has dedicated herself and her life to protecting it and promoting social equity.
Over the course of her career, Rafaela has worked in her native Brazil, Africa, and most recently, the United States. Working all over the world, she’s had the opportunity to learn from, work with, and build long-lasting relationships with the best and brightest professionals in the industry. Through her various roles, Rafaela has become a public policy expert and a conscious and holistic leader and manager. She has fine-tuned a number of invaluable skills, including implementing policies, developing innovative programs, and engaging stakeholders. She is also an expert communicator and has had her work published numerous times as well as completed many speaking engagements. Rafaela is passionate about civic engagement both in her professional and personal life. She understands how beneficial civic engagement can be for environmental change and sustainability and is also dedicated to encouraging others to get involved, especially future generations. Rafaela is currently a Senior Advisor for the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In this role, she works to implement public policies that protect public health and the environment. She also leads regional interdisciplinary committees to build a holistic framework that is resilient to the environment and political stressors.
