Violet AntonickHailing from the Chicagoland area, Violet Antonick spent several years of her life globetrotting across the continental US and beyond in search of growth, stories, and inspiration. She now splits her time between Vermont, USA, and Montréal, Canada, with her partner. As an indie bookseller, digital marketer, and writer, her love of books encompasses both her love of advocating for them and writing them. There is no greater magic than the art of storytelling, and she is excited to activate her passion and skills by working with authors to help release their stories into the world—a process she looks forward to gaining a deeper comprehension of while interning at Corvisiero Literary Agency.
Violet will read anything gothic in theme and ambience with neurodivergent or disability representation. Science fiction, fantasy, and literary fiction are her favorite genres, which she is most likely to escape into as pleasure reads. She enjoys wily antiheroes and morally gray characters who are grumpy yet lovable. She loves the eerie, the strange, and the messy—the sort of stories that don’t fit neatly in a box. Additionally, she is fascinated by themes relating to the Industrial Revolution, the renunciation of nature in the face of technological progress, and the deconstruction of pretentiousness or “dark academia.” |
