Victoria L. Bilstein is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the Midwest who loves all things whimsical and enchanting. She enjoys weaving a dash of coziness, charm, and magic into her stories about the funeral industry. Victoria hopes to create a comfortable space for readers to explore death and grief, and is passionate about advocating for women and LGBTQ+ professionals in mortuary science through her writing.

Victoria attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha for her pre-mortuary science education, and graduated from the Des Moines Area Community College Mortuary Science Program with an Advanced Standing Diploma in Mortuary Science. Her embalming soundtracks typically include Taylor Swift and Chappell Roan, her favorite scrub cap has unicorns and rainbows on it, and she prioritizes approaching funeral directing with a caregiving and compassionate approach.

​When not at the funeral home, she can typically be found writing in her favorite coffee shops, reading anything she can get her hands on, or spending time with family and friends. As a dyslexic writer who grew up in special education, audiobooks and graphic novels have a special place in her heart, and she adores all media of storytelling
