Tess Fletcher - Literary Intern
Tess is a development editor with a keen narrative eye. She has a BA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College, and has worked as an editor for several publishing houses. She also worked a one-year stint as a bookseller. Currently, she edits history textbooks and manages the digital content for her publisher's list.
Tess's professional experience gives her insight into the considerations of publishers. Her deep love for fictional worlds motivates her to work alongside authors in order to bring books to eager readers. She is surprised it took her this long to explore the wilds of literary agent work.
In fiction, Tess is drawn to the magical and mystical. She appreciates all variety of fantasy, sci-fi that pulls her into the cosmos, magical realism, and mysteries with mystical embellishments. In particular, she enjoys reading Haruki Murakami, Steven Erikson, and Marion Zimmer Bradley.
