Tess Bentley

Tess is a writer of historical fiction with a touch of speculation, romance, and the Gothic.

Since she was a child, Tess has loved books- their scent, feel, and the world held within their pages. That love for reading was vital in her development as a woman and mother. After spending ten years working as a registered nurse, Tess returned to school and earned an MA in English with a specialization in Gothic Studies with Distinction. Women's issues- now and historically- hold a tender place in Tess's heart. 

Tess lives with her family near the foothills of the Sierra Nevada in California. When she is not writing, Tess is likely reading something Brontë related and imagining herself somewhere in Victorian England. Follow Tess and her blog at tessbentley.com.
