Dr. Sasha Yampolsky is a seasoned Speech-Language Pathologist and Reading Specialist with over 25 years of professional experience. She has dedicated her career to understanding and advancing the intricate connections between spoken and written language. Her expertise in brain function, memory, and language recovery has proven invaluable in both her professional endeavors and her personal journey as a mother.
For the past four years, Dr. Yampolsky has shifted her focus to managing the care and recovery of her teenage daughter Marina, who suffered a massive stroke at age 10. Drawing on her extensive background, Dr. Yampolsky has collaborated with therapists, family, and Marina herself to design an intensive intervention schedule that fits seamlessly into their daily life. Marina's remarkable progress has become a testament to the power of resilience, expertise, and love. Sasha has held roles as an assistant professor at Curry College, director of the Needham Speech-Language & Reading Clinic, consultant for Tufts University's Center for Reading and Language Research, and clinical research specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her work has spanned public schools, higher education, private practice, and cutting-edge research. Beyond her professional achievements, Sasha has become a voice for pediatric stroke survivors and their families, frequently speaking at conferences and public events to raise awareness and advocate for their unique needs.
