P.L. Riven

P. L. Riven is a former indie film and stage actress turned speculative fiction writer. Her macabre fantasy Reap What You Sow graced the cover of Killer Nashville Magazine, and she took First Place in NYC Midnight’s Flash Fiction Challenge (Horror).

A history buff at heart, P. L. holds an M.A. in History from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, where she published a thesis on Henry IV—a background that heavily inspires her dynamic, myth-driven secondary worlds. She has been featured on podcasts like The Star Chamber Show and You, Me, & the Writing Journey, and has served as a panelist and workshop leader at literary conventions.

She lives in Utah with her two children. When she isn’t writing twisty, dark characters with a touch of charm, she can be found studying French, baking elaborate cakes, or indulging in reality TV.
