Michelle Metcalf is the Public Relations Intern at the Corvisiero Literary Agency; she promotes books, new deals, as well as new clients and new authors on our social media accounts, Instagram and Twitter. Before she joined our company, she was a camp counselor at Mill Basin Day Camp during the summertime, making sure the kids are having a great time during their time off from school. Besides working in the summer, she would also volunteer some days after work at a summer program hosted by the Bensonhurst Cluster Youth Ministry at St. Athanasius School in Brooklyn, New York. At the school, she would volunteer to help run some activities for the kids as well as help with the games.
Miss Metcalf is a senior at Monmouth University, studying to get her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations/Journalism. At Monmouth University, she is a general member at the PRSSA, Public Relations Student Society of America, which is where the firm offers public relations advice to the University as well as the local community. After college, her goals are to become an event planner for weddings and Sweet 16s; in order to do so, she is going to do some event planning courses in order to understand all aspects of the industry in order to succeed.
Besides going to school and working, on her free time, she likes to do some reading; depending on the day, she likes murder mysteries as well as poetry. When it comes to murder mystery books, she loves reading James Patterson because of the detail he gives in every book that makes her want to read more. When it comes to poetry, she reads any kind of poetry, from haikus to sonnets, she loves them all depending on the meaning of the piece of work.
