Megan Manzano - Literary Intern
Megan fell in love with reading and writing from a young age. She still has notebooks of her childhood stories tucked away in the closet, never to be seen again. Trust her when she says it’s for the best. She grew up to receive a BA in English with a minor in philosophy; eager to stay as close to books as possible. When she’s not working, she’s either blogging, traveling, hiking, or binge watching television shows on Netflix. If you can’t find her, offer to show her pictures of your pet, especially if it’s a dog.
Young Adult literature is Megan’s main source of reading. She considers herself to be a YA advocate, insisting these stories have a lot to offer and teen readers should be supported as much as possible. She can’t wait to see more non Western fantasies, queer books that don’t end in tragedy, dystopian scenarios, and fairytale retellings. Writing wise, she’s a sucker for complex family dynamics, gray morality, and strong women.
