Matt grew up on the northern shore of Long Island. After pursuing endeavors both sporting and theatrical throughout his youth, he studied acting and musical theatre in earnest at snowy, lake-effected Syracuse University. Armed with his BFA, he returned to New York City to perform in some plays, some musicals, some commercials, some TV shows, some movies, some improv shows, and some web series. He’s also writing a book; he refuses to be pigeon-holed. He was a bit side-tracked for thirteen years as he took on what was, quite literally, his biggest role as Mr. Met, the highly esteemed, baseball-headed mascot of his beloved New York Mets. That's what his book is about. Although he’s performed for millions of people around the world, none of them know who he is. He’s working diligently to remedy that.
