Josiah Gray

Josiah Gray is a full-time English and Social Studies teacher who secretly tries to convince his students that they do actually enjoy reading and writing. When he’s teaching, a great way to sidetrack his lessons is to ask him about Marvel movies, his two ginger cats, or how to brew the perfect cup of coffee. Then outside the classroom you’ll often find him trying to write the next great American novel, run a 5K, or win a board game. None of which he can effectively do.

During university, he majored in Religious & Intercultural Studies — which he has not used at all! However, it did help foster his unquenchable wanderlust: over the years, he’s lived and traveled throughout four continents, appreciating the beauty and diversity of the world. Consequently, Josiah has a passion for any book with a unique perspectives — especially when written by authors from underrepresented groups; but, honestly, he’ll read almost anything… and it never hurts if the story has a hearty dose of magic and/or monsters because his other weakness is speculative fiction.
