Fiona Hansen
Fiona is a writer of sapphic, speculative literature pursuing a career on both sides of publishing. She holds a Summa Cum Laude BA in English from Arizona State, where she won second place for the 2022 Swarthout Award for Undergraduate Fiction. When she's not reading, writing, or working, Fiona can be found haunting her local coffee and book shops, dogsitting, or climbing rocks — mostly plastic ones. Throughout her life, Fiona has lived (and searched for bookstores) in Minnesota, Maryland, Jordan, and Japan. She currently lives in dreadfully sunny Southern California with her partner and their small hoard of mischievous cats, but dreams of one day running away to the Scottish Highlands.
Fiona's taste ranges from cozy to epic, and she always looks for diverse #OwnVoices stories and characters from underrepresented authors. She's drawn to singular SFF, Speculative Fiction, and Horror across Middle Grade, Young Adult, and Adult with evocative character arcs, sharp prose, and propulsive plots. Additionally, she loves swoon-worthy, witty romances, graphic novels with charming art styles, and anything LGBTQ+ (especially Sapphic!) |
