Ellen was born in Texas—and rode an alligator in her front yard. She now lives in Yokohama, with almost no yard, and rides a bicycle instead.
As a child, Ellen listened to the audio book of Jane Eyre over and over for years. In middle school, she was caught reading Dickens and Dumas beneath her desk in math class. By high school, she’d spun her own stories and never stopped.
She graduated university in Spain with a degree in Intercultural Studies and Spanish, has two extraordinary children, is a member of SCWBI Japan, and has articles published with Calvary Chapel Magazine.
