Cris Freese - Literary Intern
Cris Freese has been obsessed with the art of story from a young age, listening to his parents read picture books and his grandparents tell stories. Now, he indulges in content of all forms, whether that's a book, a movie or the latest Netflix show, an epic video game, or anything online. Books litter his home, with his bookshelves organized by color to complement the colors of his rooms—and his interests vary widely, from mystery to YA, literary to thriller, and plenty more. He plans on reading 40 books next year, in 40 different genres/categories to continue to develop his tastes.
By day, Cris is a technical writer and editor based in Cincinnati, Ohio. By night, he's a freelance editor and literary intern with Corvisiero Literary Agency. Cris spent four-and-a-half years with Writer's Digest, where he honed his editing eye and diverse skill-set. As the former managing editor of Writer's Digest Books, he has worked with best-selling and award-winning authors, including Donald Maass, Paula Munier, Jennifer Probst, James Scott Bell, Jeffrey Somers, Jane K. Cleland, and Cheryl St. John. Cris also edited Guide to Literary Agents (both online and in print) and Children's Writer's & Illustrator's Market.
