Originally from Atlanta, GA, Brynn left for Washington DC to study at American University where she got a BA in International Studies, an MA in International Communication, and a brilliant partner who happened to be from Rio de Janeiro.
She decided to marry him and moved to Rio with an unnecessary number of sweaters and only two words of Portuguese: “ola” and “obrigada”. Flash forward many years, she now lives in Vitoria, Espírito Santo with her husband, their bilingual, Brazilian-American daughter, and a deep appreciation for the fact buying local includes coffee and chocolate.
Brynn believes passionately in the power of books to open minds and build bridges. #WNDB She hopes her stories entertain as well as show the power and possibilities of friendships across cultures.
Her creative non-fiction about life as a immigrant in Brazil can be found in Once Upon an Expat and Knocked Up Abroad.
