Elena McPhillips - Literary Intern
When Elena McPhillips was five years old, she was dropped off at the local library and left there until she reached adulthood. Raised by the kindly librarians, she grew up surrounded by stories and never looked back. You can find her often reading two books at once, obsessively watching Survivor, or trying to pet all the dogs in America (and hoping to take her talents internationally).
Elena is currently a Program Manager & Editor with MD-IQ, the digital quiz program for Frontline Medical Communications. She is a former intern of the literary agency McIntosh & Otis, where she worked in the Children’s Department and discovered her passion for kid lit in all shapes and sizes. Elena is also a freelance blogger with Audicus, where she writes weekly blogs about hearing aids, hearing health, and current events in the medical world.
Having grown up firmly entrenched in the Harry Potter generation, Elena has a soft spot for fantasy YA. She also loves reading adult fantasy, historical fiction and nonfiction, comic fantasy, satire, and picture books.
